Brexit, Britain, and the European Union

We are living in challenging times. The Nations are in turmoil. The Brexit issue is just one of many issues facing our world. Does this decision have prophetic consequences? I believe it does.

Daniel’s Prophecy about End Times

King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon had a dream. He saw a huge statue and Daniel explained its prophetic significance to the king. You will find the details in Daniel chapter 2.

• The head of gold represented the Babylonian Empire (BC 586-538). Daniel 2:39.
• The silver chest and arms represented the Medes & the Persians (BC 538-333). Daniel 8:20.
• The bronze thighs represented the Greek Empire (not yet in existence in his time). (BC 333-63). Daniel 2:39, 8:21.
• The iron legs represented the Roman Empire (BC 63 to the Middle Ages, but never conquered). Daniel 2:40.
• The ten toes, partly clay and partly iron, represented the Revived Roman Empire due to rise in the Last Days. Daniel 2:41,42.

The Revived Roman Empire

The Treaty of Rome signed on March 25, 1957, ushered in the fulfillment of this part of the vision. The second Treaty of Rome was signed on October 29, 2004. Other Treaties followed, notably the Treaty of Rome signed on October 26, 2009, which was ratified and signed into law on December 1, 2009.

The Revived Roman Empire prophetically had to be linked to Babylon and to Rome.  Is it any surprise then that one of their posters depicts the Babylon Tower of Babel, with a direct reference to the confusion of languages by God recorded in Genesis chapter 11. Their poster states: “Europe, Many Tongues, One Voice.”

The EU Headquarters in Strausberg, Germany, is believed to be modeled after this artist’s depiction of the Tower of Babel.

The connection to Rome is clearly seen in the various Treaties. While many believe the Moslem nations will form the Revived Roman Empire, they do not fulfill the criteria. Plus they are dealt a resounding defeat in the forthcoming Middle Eastern war prophesied in Ezekiel.

One of the major signs linking the European Union to the Revived Roman Empire is the prophecy in Revelation 17:3. “So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.”

This symbolism forms a major part of the European Union profile. She is on her posters, outside the EU building, on her coins, and her stamps.  Revelation 17:3 tells us plainly the symbolism is linked to the Revived Roman Empire.

What Does This Have to do with Britain?

For many years, the UK has supported the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. She has sent missionaries all over the world. The UK is fortunate to have escaped being a part of the prophesied Revived Roman Empire, now forming into the powerful United States of Europe. The Revived Roman Empire is not a friend of Almighty God and her doom is prophesied (Revelation 19:19).

My prayer for Britain and its people is that they continue to disentangle themselves from the prophesied Revived Roman Empire. I acknowledge this is a personal opinion and some may not agree, but the data is very thought-provoking.

The Nations are Rushing to Armageddon. They have an appointment with Almighty God at “the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon” (Revelation 16:15).
