Jesus Christ: Rejected By Men
“He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.” – Isaiah 53:3
When Messiah comes, the prophets foretold, He would be rejected and despised. In spite of the great and wonderful works He did, men would not bow the knee or acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior of the world.
Sadly, the scriptures record that this was true of the ministry of Jesus Christ. He had fulfilled so many prophecies with precision, yet when He came people refused to recognize Him. “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.” – John 1:11.
This is still the case today in many instances.
Thousands are rushing into a Christless eternity, in spite of the fact that God sent His only begotten Son into the world that we may be saved.
How very gracious of the Lord to keep the door of salvation open to the “whosoever will come”.
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:” – John 1:12.
That is all it takes to be saved.
Have you received Christ as your Personal Lord and Savior?
