Motivation from the Good Book

Fools vent their anger,
but the wise quietly hold it back.
Proverbs 29:11

Anger Causes Severe Stress

Venting means to give expression to a strong emotion. We have all experienced that from time to time. Our Blood Pressure goes up and we can feel the steam rising in our veins! That’s not a good place to be. The Bible calls it foolish behaviour. We see a lot of it on Facebook, don’t we?

The Antidote for Anger

The antidote for venting is practiced by the wise. They quietly hold it back and reserve their words. Sometimes we need to speak out, but we never need to throw our toys out of the cot. That is childish, immature, and foolish behaviour. May we all grow up as Christians and demonstrate the nature of Christ in our words and actions. That is what the Lord requires, even when someone cuts you off as you are driving along the freeway. Bless them. Pray for them. Sing and worship as you go along. It will change your whole outlook and improve your day immensely. Try it!

Venting in Anger gets  you Nowhere

Don’t hang out with angry people; don’t keep company with hotheads. Bad temper is contagious—don’t get infected. Proverbs 22:24,25 MSG Click To Tweet
