We are living in one of the most exciting periods of this world’s history. Time, as we know it, is rapidly drawing to a close as the COMING OF THE LORD draws near. All over the world people are aware that something is happening.
This is the age of fulfilment of Biblical prophecy and, for the discerning believer, our local newspapers bear testimony to that fact daily.
Before 1900 very few commentaries were written on prophetical books like Daniel and Revelation. It was not easy in those days to understand, for example, how something lodged in the human body would enable a person to “buy and sell” (Rev. 13:16,17) … or the possibility of the whole world simultaneously viewing an event in Jerusalem (Rev. 11:9-12).
The Old Testament prophet, Daniel, wrote that end-time prophecy would be more clearly understood as knowledge increases in the last days and it is an exciting fact. “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased … for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.” (Dan. 12:4,9 KJV).
Someone has said that if this world’s history could be condensed into a twenty-four hour period, all the major events and discoveries will have happened in the last 24 hours. This is one of the major signs of His Soon Return.
As historical events unfold THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES are evident for all who will see. Paul wrote in 1 Thess. 5:4 “But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.”
The Signs of the Times are all around us as outlined by Jesus on the Mount of Olives (Matthew chapter 24, Luke chapter 21) – a huge increase in war, famine, pestilences, disease, earthquakes, disasters, incredible technology development, massive anti-Christ sentiment, violence, lack of morals, crime, to mention just the tip of the iceberg.
Add to that the global financial crisis as the prophesied AntiChrist’s Economic Plan is being prepared. Read more about that in Revelation chapter 13.
Events in the Middle East are going according to the Bible Blueprint as we watch Israel becoming increasingly isolated and the surrounding nations preparing for war. All this is prophesied in detail in the Bible.
The Lord Jesus Christ put it this way: “And when these things begin to come to pass, then LOOK UP, and lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh.” (Luke 21:28).

Scoffers And Their Walk
“knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts,” – 2 Peter 3:3
The scoffers of the “last days” laugh at God’s Word and the Great Hope of the Church – and live as they please. Filled with lust, they follow their own desires and in their proud arrogance they set themselves up as their own “gods”.
Paul gives us a good description of the end-time scoffers in 1 Timothy 3. Written two thousand years ago, it is as relevant as if it were penned today!
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”
Jesus said the last generation would be just like “the days of Noah” (Matt. 24:37-39) and “the days of Lot” (Luke 17:28-30) as the scoffers of the day walk according to their own lusts.
Could we be living in the last generation?

“knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts,” — – 2 Peter3:3
Noah spent 120 years building his ark – and people scoffed right until the moment the floods came. Jesus said it would be just like “the days of Noah” when He returns.
People will be concerned with their daily lives and totally unconcerned about the calamity waiting to befall them. The words of the prophets will, once again, fall on deaf ears.
Nearly two thousand years ago, Peter wrote that this would indeed be the case. In the “last days” – the last generation before the Lord comes – scoffers will laugh at the thought of Christ returning.
Those who scoff are merely fulfilling prophecy, not realizing that they, in fact, are a prophetic sign themselves, testifying to the reality of the soon return of Christ.
Keep on sharing the Gospel with those around you, especially in these exciting days as we watch Bible prophecy being fulfilled in the minutest detail. The kingdom of antichrist – the global government – is well on the way, as is the global religion and global economy spelled out in Revelation chapter thirteen.
The most intense mocking will have no effect whatsoever on the fulfillment of God’s plans!

Did you know there is a type or font called “Second coming type”? It’s a really big font – about two-inches high – used by newspapers to announce a mega event. An example of this type set is when President Kennedy was shot in Dallas, Pearl Harbor was bombed, as well as the September 11th event.
It’s the largest display type used for newspaper headlines; reserved for news of the highest importance.
This is the kind of font that is geared to leap off the page and get the reader to “READ ME”!!
When Jesus Returns I doubt the newpapers will have time to use their font! They may use it, though, to tell the world about the Rapture, when millions of Christians are “caught up to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thess. 4:17).
The dreadful HAITI EARTHQUAKE is just one example of end-time prophecy being literally fulfilled. (Matt. 24:7,8)
Even non believers believe that Jesus Christ will be coming back. In a recent poll 66% of Americans claimed to believe it.
“It is estimated that there are more than three hundred prophecies in the Bible concerning the first coming of Christ – and about eight times as many concerning His Second Coming. The New Testament mentions it at least 318 times in 210 chaptrers and there can be no doubt that saints throughout the ages have always “looked for His appearing.” (Quote from Rushing to Armageddon).
Look up, believer! We are going Home .. SOON.
